Our client is a long-established Civil Engineering company who have operated in the Greater London area for nearly 40 years. They are currently looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Surfacing team based in Bow, Tower Hamlets, East London.

The Role
As the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will have worked in a similar industry with experience of managing people and working on Highways, Infrastructure or Civils Maintenance Projects.
Other responsibilities for this role will include:
- Be an integral member of the commercial team supporting the Commercial Manager, Managing Quantity Surveyor and provide leadership to the Quantity Surveyor’s
- Build a strong relationship with internal and client counterparts as well as working with members of the team to attain your full potential
- Working on commercial projects from pre contract stage through to completion ensuring contracts returns are maximised and complete forecasting across all within your works
- Engaging and managing sub-contracts including tender enquiries, award and assessment of monthly payment applications
- Support the production of monthly CVR’s
- Work to produce both internal and client forecasts
- Production and substantiation through to agreement of associated Final Accounts
- Ensure all Riney and client processes are followed to minimise commercial risk
- Work with the wider team and ensure all work completed is accurately valued and followed through to cash collection
A car / car allowance is available with this role and therefore you must hold a FULL UK car driving license with no more than 6 penalty points – You must be able to travel across the region of work
The Candidate
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Surveying
- NEC TSC contract experience, together with ICC Term Contract knowledge
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Good oral, written communication; and presentation skills with strong numeracy and analytical ability
- Process driven with strong commercial awareness and good negotiation skills
